Brian Vargo
A lifelong resident of Bennington County, Brian studied Business with a concentration in Finance at St. Michael’s College, where he competed for the varsity Nordic ski team; he is currently a financial advisor at a wealth management firm in Manchester. Brian’s interest in conservation stems from deep roots in Vermont’s sporting traditions, which have led him to engage with agriculture, timber, and water quality issues vital to the region’s working landscape. He has served on the boards of the Southwestern Vermont Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and the Bennington County Conservation District, in addition to managing improvements on several parcels of timber and river bottom farmland near his home in North Bennington. In his personal time, Brian mentors rookie, youth, and disabled veteran hunters, fly fishes in the Walloomsac River, and trains his Boykin spaniel, Leo.
